Caesarean

In the cat distocia (difficult childbirth) is rare but unfruitful contractions for more than one hour are observed or if great amount of dyed vaginal flow of blood is observed during the childbirth its attention will have to be considered veterinary. In the dog distocia appears most frequently and is always an urgency that must as much be solved by the veterinarian, since the attempt of extraction of a fetus clogged by an experienced person cannot cause more damage of the one than already it existed, the fetus as to the mother.

Generally, the Caesarean ones are made in a special operating room for this type of operation. General anesthesia with or without epidural will be applied to him (depending each case) reducing the plane of anesthetic depth.

The success in an operation not only is based on the medical knowledge, but also on the coordinated work of the human equipment (anesthetist, instrumentalist and auxiliary of operating room). The number of Caesarean that can be practiced to him to a dog and a cat varies, according to the conditions as is the female, and the form in which the surgery was made.
