Sixth sense, mysterious sense, stranger, disquieting, the used definitions to indicate the faculties still inexplicable of many animals and, in individual, of the cat, are innumerable.
Five main senses exist: the Vista, the ear, the sense of smell, the tact and the pleasure. So the sixth sense is attributed all to those capacities, still partially not known, that present/display some animals like the sense of the direction, telepathy and premonition.

Sense of the direction
In the cat it is the capacity to return to his master. The examples are many. In April of 1977, in France a called cat Pompon appeared again before its master, resident in Fontainebleau: apparently it had divided two years before Healing, in the department of Var, located nothing less than to 900 km of distance.

These episodes acquire remarkable importance when it is considered that the cat is not, under no concept, fan to carry out long long walks. Perhaps the explanation is in which the animal wants to recover to its master impelled by the hunger, the restlessness, the affection and desire to return to have everything what lost and then, by means of a still mysterious process, looks for the approximate direction that it must take. From then, the cat resorts to a method of learning by rough estimates and errors, advancing by means of a series of visual, olfactory, acoustic associations or of any other sort. It looks for a familiar sound, like for example, the one of the bells, known scents, ways that before it crossed.
In other words, the cat puts into operation its associative memory. Of indication in indication, returning, if it is precise, on its own passages until reaching its goal?. This explanation is less convincing when the cat crosses enormous distances, or when it meets with his master in a place in where never it was before.

The cats medium
Nowadays one is not afraid to speak of the cats medium, and to this end bold explanations like the call have seted out ?psi trailing?; according to this theory, a type of telepathic communication between the cat and his owner or the cat and certain people would exist, who would guide the lost cat by means of vibrations that this one would be able to perceive.

The Egyptians already believed in this type of telepathy: in a papyrus discovered in Saqqâra it is possible to be read: ?When you think, he (the cat) still understands if your lips do not move nor your mouth to you pronounces word some. He reads in you with the glance of the Gods?.
Also in the Average Age the wizards arrived to be accused to communicate with their cats via telepathic.

Feline meteorology
According to a popular belief, if a cat, at the moment for carrying out its cleanliness, passes one of its legs over one of its ears, it is signal that rain, or the storm, is very next. In fact one thinks that the cat puts itself nervous because its skin electricity load, and is excited because of the small unloadings that take place when it touches an object any; for that reason it begins to scratch weaves and to climb up the curtains.
