Rex cornualles
This race is characterized by its curled coat, which was discovered in a cat in the west of England in 1950, result of a mutant gene that inhibits the production of normal protective hairs and, in some cases, also of hairs similar to bristles.
Individuals of the family of the Rex Alemán contributed in America to the development of the race, but the Eastern introduction of the Siamese and other families give an appearance him different from this cat. Similar curly coats found in Oregon and the state of New York, contributed to the development of the American Hair of Wire.
The Rex de Cornualles is a small cat of to medium with an extended appearance and esbelta. The line of its back tends to form a natural arc.
Their undulations extend backwards from the stop of the head to the end of the tail, and the short hair underneath the chin and in the abdomen is waved. The moustaches and eyebrows also must be curly and quite long.
A head of the type of the one of the short hair or with a form of wedge very marked, is an imperfection.
The cats Rex do not change their coat and are easy to fix caressing them with the hand and an occasional combing.
