German Rex

  To the coat that is waved and it curls occurs the coat name him rex, and all the races of cats Rex have curled coat, although it is not of he himself type.

The cats with such coats have appeared in several places and moments, but it treated to them like abnormal units and it was only after World War II that the novel thing of these attracted the interest of the criadores.

Three classes like recognized races have been developed. The Rex Alemán descends from a cat found in Berlin in 1951; since then he has been discovered that its coat, that lacks primary the protective hairs, has the secondary protectors and the inferior ones, shorter waves and of the normal thing, is equal genetically to the cats who appeared in Cornualles, England, in 1950 and Oregon, the United States, in 1959, but it is different in other aspects.

The Rex Alemán who exported itself to America contributed to the development of the Rex de Cornualles, but also Siameses in the creation of that race were used. The German cat does not have a so Eastern appearance and has round head and claws.

Body: Medium in size and length; medium and thin legs with small and cleared claws; means tail long that diminishes from a consistent base to a cleared end.
