European short hair
Descendant of African and Asian cats, was spread by the old Romans in the regions of the empire and soon he extended everywhere.
Character: It varies from an individual to another one, since one is animals with a noticeable individual personality. They are independent, ready, proud animals, little demanding, that live anywhere and get to encariñar themselves much with their master.
In the course of their existence in contact with the man, where it has had favorable or adverse events, but without being put under him, the European cats have developed a temperament that constitutes its more peculiar characteristic. This quality is attenuated habitually in the selected races, because of a selective process that assures the genetic purity, necessary for the sport young, but it goes in damage of the individuality. Then we can affirm that to really know a domestic cat, it is necessary to raise common cats and not of race.
Morphology: There are two types: esbelto, with thin legs of intermediate length and normal head, and another more robust type, fornido, with great head, short neck and short and robust legs. Since most of the common cats mate freely to each other, there is unit with more or less intermediate characteristics between types both mentioned.
Eyes: great and round; they can be of yellow, greenish, brown, orange, blue, cobrizo, gray color or of intermediate tonalities.
Hair: Short.
Coat: Atigrado or ?Roman?, jaspeado or ?tabby?, unicolor (black, white, red), two-color pencil, tricolor (black, red and cream). There are later very many cats stained more or less irregularly and of diverse tonalities.
