Bengal
This race is the result of one crosses between the wild domestic cats speckled and the one of the wild species Felis bengalensis, the Cat Leopard of the Southeast of Asia, that takes place from Siberia and Kashmir to Bali.

The intention of the criador era to conserve the dark speckled pattern of its body and legs; and the black

bands that run to him on the forehead. In spite of the denomination ?leopard?, the spots are solid and not like the opened rosettes of the greater feline. The males coming from the first matings were sterile, but soon he was crossed to the females a reddish wild cat of speckled coffee of a shelter for cats in Los Angeles. Previous hybrids between domestic and wild cats have been, generally, in enough kittens aggressive difficult to have like mascots, but the criadores of Bengal affirm that they have been able to retain the gentility of the domestic cat and simultaneously to give the exotic appearance

him of a coat like the leopard.
